“THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE CHURCH’S SPRING CLEANING PROJECT”
"I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward." Mark 9:41
I just want to take a moment today and thank everyone who makes time to help volunteer for any position at your local church. Thank you for everyone who has cooked a meal for a family that have been through a tragedy or for those bringing new life into this world. Thank you for those who have given clothes or toys to families with young kids. Thank you for everyone who has helped fix a car, a fence, a tire, a house for someone who was not able. I thank you
because what happens is that most of these tasks go without thanks and it would be so easy for us to stop. But God always notices. It is so important that we continue to offer our help even if no one thanks us. Most ministries if you head them up you will find that all you hear about are complaints. It is rare that you get a pat on the back or a thank you. And we should not be programmed to need that from
anyone. I have a saying from the scriptures, “I work heartily as unto the Lord!” I say this quite often because otherwise I would give up on some of the things I volunteer my time for. I have to put it into perspective. I work for God. I help others because I work for Him and Him alone.

First Lady Speaks

By Victoria L. Jackson

 Courage During Times of Change

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own. Mathew 6:34 NIV
Are you anxious about situations that you cannot control? Take your anxieties to God. Are you troubled about changes that threaten to disrupt your life? Take your troubles to Him. Does your corner of the world seem to be trembling beneath your feet? Seek protection from the One who cannot be moved. The same God who created the universe will protect you if you ask Him...so ask Him...and then serve Him with willing hands and a trusting heart. And rest assured that the world may change moment by moment, but God's love endures--unfathomable and unchanging--FOREVER!

 About Sis. Jackson
